A certified Moissanite 3ct radiant solitaire! An UBER flashy, ULTRA classy, contemporary and chic radiant-cut engagement ring!

I ordered the stones for these rings having seen only a a few lined up in a gem tray, and sent them to my manufacturing partner for setting into this modified/lowered cathedral mounting. My instructions were to make the ring arms “high” enough to snug a band up against this ring while keeping the mounting head low, with the ring mounting itself being substantial in silver. They returned a CAD design (a computerized model of the ring) to me, which I approved for production - and here are the rings!

This is therefore my first time seeing a radiant-cut Moissanite in person, and I must say I’m highly impressed! These 3ct beauties are clean, bright and most importantly, extremely fiery and flashy! I had difficulty photographing this ring because my camera kept focusing on the stone’s fire and blurring the stone itself! The only way I can think to describe how a radiant interacts with the light is to say it “throws” its fire, sending out dozens of flashy rainbows that shoot across the room! The light also plays within the stone itself, flashing back and forth along the weblike facets on the underside of the stone (its pavilion) and shine through its topside (its table)! It’s a stunningly gorgeous cut! Although first entering the gemstone market in the 1970s, the radiant cut has enjoyed a resurgence in popularity and exudes elegance!

The setting and band itself are substantial, with the band and shank being 1.5mm thick! Four beefy prongs secure the stone, one at eah corner. And of course it’s crafted from solid sterling silver and is 18k Seiko-electroplated with 18k white rhodium for a finish that’s as shining and perfect as the Moissanite itself!
