NOTE: As I replenish certain pieces, I will be converting them from sterling silver to genuine germanium-containing 935 Argentium silver, a hardier silver alloy with the durability of 14k gold and looks and wears like it, but is more tarnish resistant than both sterling and gold! It’s also more resistant to surface marring and is hypoallergenic, often working for people who can’t tolerate the copper content in sterling! I offer here an absolutely gorgeous Moissanite solitaire in a full bezel setting that I designed myself! I then had it made by one of the jewelry manufacturers with whom I recently partnered so that I can have my or your custom designs brought into reality! The Moissanite is a 3ct certified oval beauty in a full bezel. But what makes this ring different is that the stone is nestled into a sterling silver basket that I designed to sit closer to the finger so that it doesn’t have the high profile most elongated stone rings do. I love high-set stones, don’t get me wrong! But the reality is that a ring with a lower profile is more practical for daily wear because it’s not constantly being knocked into everything, especially if you work with your hands a lot! But even with the lower profile I made sure that each quadrant of the ring allows for plenty of light to reach the stone, resulting in a gorgeous Moissanite that is flashy and vibrant (which you can see by the video that it’s quite sparkly indeed)!

I especially love a Moissanite in a bezel setting, because the bezel “traps” and returns the light that’s refracted off the stone and sends it back into the stone. The stone refracts the light back outward, where it’s again “trapped” by the bezel and returned to the stone… and so on! The bezel amplifies the natural sparkle of a Moissanite because it creates a perpetual exchange of light! I just adore the effect, so it’s not surprising that my first self-designed ring features this design element!
