I offer here a lovely Moissanite solitaire in a full bezel setting that I designed myself, originally in an oval setting that I modified to fit a pear-cut stone! I then had it made by my jewelry manufacturing partner with whom I joined forces so that I can have my or your custom designs brought into reality! The pear stone is clean and bright and the ring is classy, elegant and versatile!

The Moissanite is a 3ct certified pear-cut beauty in a full bezel. But what makes this ring different is that the stone is nestled into a sterling silver basket that I designed to sit closer to the finger so that it doesn’t have the high profile most elongated stone rings do. I love high-set stones, don’t get me wrong! But the reality is that a ring with a lower profile is more practical for daily wear because it’s not constantly being knocked into everything, especially if you work with your hands a lot! But even with the lower profile I made sure that each quadrant of the mounting allows for plenty of light to reach the stone, resulting in a gorgeous Moissanite that is flashy and vibrant (just check the video to see the flash this stone produces)!

I especially love a Moissanite in a bezel setting, because the bezel “traps” and returns the light that’s refracted off the stone and sends it back into the stone. The stone refracts the light back outward, where it’s again “trapped” by the bezel and returned to the stone… and so on! The bezel amplifies the natural sparkle of a Moissanite because it creates a perpetual exchange of light! I just adore the effect, so it’s not surprising that my first self-designed ring features this design element!
