However, the faceting that makes these studs sublime also makes them exceedingly difficult to photograph. Please judge more by the video rather than by my amateur photography how these studs will look in person, although in person they’ll be even more scintillating! They’re amazing!

Almost all fine gemstones are now cut and faceted using lasers because of their unmatched precision, but that only means more intricate and fancier styles of cuts and faceting can be achieved! These studs feature one of those intricate styles, generically called “Russian cut” due to its high number of facets that secure its ranking among the finest-cut gemstones (Russian diamond cutters were the first to apply exacting standards to hand-faceted gemstones, so “Russian-cut” is synonymous with “finest-cut”)! Also called “Russian birds nest cut”, it’s easiest to call it and understand it for exactly what it is: a gemstone with precisely 100 facets!

Each of these studs is set with a certified, 100-facet 1ct Moissanite in a 3-prong setting of solid sterling silver that’s bathed in 18k white gold, and the pair comes with friction/“butterfly” backs.
