Lab tanzanite pendant and lab morganite pendants, and natural amethyst and moonstone pendants. All in solid sterling silver!
I offer you these beautiful, genuine 925 sterling silver gemstone pendants to add to your bracelet or necklace, and at a price so affordable you’ll be suspicious (but don’t be! It’s a perk of having good friends who are gemstone dealers and jewelers! And the more I sell to you the more I will buy from them, so it works out well for everybody, including you)! But rest assured that these are authentic, genuine gemstone pendants! mm
Some of the gemstones I offer have been grown in a lab, making them FAR less costly to produce than nature-grown gemstones, and consequently far purer because they form in a controlled sterile environment as opposed to outside in messy Mother Nature! Lab-grown gemstones are identical in every way to their nature-grown cousins, having the exact same chemical composition and molecular structure. ALL gemstones - all matter in fact! - can be reduced to their elemental parts, so gemstones are nothing more than chemical equations that any good chemist can follow and grow in his basement lab with the right equipment!
The amethysts I offer here are nature-grown, and the tanzanites and morganites are lab-grown. Lab-grown gemstones are identical in every way to their nature-grown cousins, having the exact same chemical composition and molecular structure (ALL gemstones - all matter in fact! - can be reduced to their elemental parts, so gemstones are nothing more than chemical equations that any good chemist can follow and grow in his basement lab with the right equipment!). There is one small secret here that nature keeps to herself, however, and that’s what makes tanzanite pleochroic! Pleochroism is a fancy term given to a mineral whose chemical structure causes white light to refract through it in such a way that it appears to be one color to someone viewing it from one angle and a different color to someone viewing it from another angle, and yet a different color still to another person observing it from a different third angle! This is why the same tanzanite gemstone can appear to be vivid blue, purple or reddish-brown depending on the type of light it’s being observed in and/or from what angle it’s being viewed! While scientists have figured out WHY a tanzanite can appear different based on these variables, they can’t explain WHAT makes it behave that way chemically! And because they can’t explain “what” makes tanzanite pleochroic, they can’t replicate that characteristic in a labratory! So while lab-grown tanzanite is identical to nature-grown tanzanite chemically, it will never be entirely able to “pass” as natural tanzanite optically like other gemstones easily can and do!
Anyway, that’s my nerdy gemstone lesson for the day! 🤓😂 I hope you enjoy these lovely gemstone pendants as much as I enjoy being able to share them - and information about them! - with you!
