Oh, ladies! I’m always on the lookout for design inspiration, and an occasion I’ll browse my manufacturer’s product catalogs just to see if there’s a piece I might like to add to my shop. And then I saw this - THIS magnificent ring! - and I knew I had to have it to offer to you! However, the existing design specs had all the accent stones as zircons, but no! This ring could be *better*! So I paid to have the design modified to a *fully* Moissanite piece and added accent stones along the “forks” where the shank splits! And here is the result - and boy, did I hit the bull’s eye!! This ring is absolutely delicious!

The super cool thing about this ring is that the halo is set as a “platform” atop the modified cathedral mounting, with the prongs *on top* of the mounting (rather than clustered around the main stone) with a “table” of silver onto which the prongs and stones are inlaid. The way the halo is structured, the bare silver edges of that “table” are what’s going to come into contact with surfaces as it’s worn, which in effect protects the prongs from being the things that get bumped! So the way this particular halo is formed - as a flat piece that’s entirely separate from the main stone - its prongs are protected against constant bumping. Now if you’re super hard on this ring and slam your fist straight down against a table top you’ll have to worry about stone retention! But otherwise this ring is the perfectly acceptable for normal daily wear!

Having said that, I offer here the “Bull’s Eye” ring! Let’s start with the star of the show, a certified 4ct round brilliant Moissanite, which is set only slightly higher than the first halo and is secured by four prongs! This is a lively, fiery stone which higher caratage pushes it into light luxury territory! Now on to the *double* halo, which again is mounted atop a modified cathedral setting. (Traditional cathedral settings are quite high, but this setting is lowered into the band so that it doesn’t have the high profile that traditional cathedral settings do.) The first halo features (28) .015ct pavé-set round brilliant Moissanites (.42cttw) and the second halo features (48) .015ct pavé-set round brilliant Moissanites (.72cttw). On each of the 4 “arms” of the halo - the small bars of silver that connect the halos together - is an additional .015ct round brilliant (.06cttw) set the same! The total Moissanite weight of the halo alone is 1.2 carats!

But there’s more! Let’s move on to the band, which splits mid-shank. On each “fork” of the split are (6) .05ct pavé-set round brilliant Moissanites (12 on the left side of the ring and 12 on the right) for 24 total stones weighing 1.44cttw! Whoo! The TOTAL carat weight of this gorgeous ring then is 4ct main stone + 1.2cttw halo stones + 1.44cttw band stones = a 6.64cttw ring! The entire ring mounting is crafted from solid sterling silver, Seiko-electroplated with 14k white rhodium for a shiny, flawless and tarnish-resistant finish!

I hope you enjoyed reading about my reenvisioning of my manufacturer’s original design, which modifications I made turned this ring into a custom piece that’s exclusive to my shop - a HKJ bull’s eye!!
